One Girl Can

Organization For Girls in Kenya
A collaborative project at Aruliden

OGC is a non-profit organization that builds schools in Kenya for girls. They came to us for a stronger brand identity that’s simple, flexible, and ownable so as they expand, they can engage with a more dynamic range of audiences. This direction chosen is named  Her Voice: we make these girls’ voices heard in the world though a rallying cry. We are unafraid of using a bold logotype, type with big contrast, a lot of negative space, full-bleed imageries, and a muted color palette that makes the photography really stand out. Just as the loud and emotional quotes from the girls say: no one can define me, other than myself. ︎

Italian Wine Bar

Sorso is an Italian wine bar nestled in NYC’s west village. The rich green and gold, the delicate, art deco, and geometric letterforms, and the cheeky photography bring us to a swingy downtown wine night that feels elevated and delightful. ︎

Cooking Education Platform
Branding, UIUX, Event Experience, Video

Soyum is a cooking education platform that popularizes homemade Chinese food through sessions conducted by hand-selected contemporary chefs with unique perspectives of Chinese cuisine. By transforming intimidation to fascination, we bring real Chinese food to every kitchen. ︎

Moontower Festival

Comedy Festival
A collaboratibe project with Rohan Rege, Bill Chien, Brandon Joseph, and Fay Qiu

Moontower Comedy Festival happens grandly every year at the historic Paramount Theatre in Austin, Texas. Its current identity? Not so grand. Inspired by the classical revivalist structure, Art Deco style motifs and showbiz culture, our rebranding solution is a contemporary spin on the red carpet comedy event. The ingredients? An elegant wordmark, larger than life illustrations, radiating patterns, a rich color palette, and a hot hot serif. The identity is held together by a modular grid system and aims to do justice to the legacy of the Paramount Theatre while keeping things in the now. ︎
